The Super Bowl is just a few short days away, and Miami isn’t going to be the only place buzzing with excitement.

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, businesses across Springfield are preparing for massive fan turnout.

Many businesses are opening their doors early for pregame festivities, and others that are usually closed on Sunday will be open for the game.

Boogie Cafe, also known as Boogie, is usually closed on Sundays but will be open starting at 3 p.m. for the big game.

Other local bars and breweries are not holding special events, but they do intend to have drink specials.

Hold Fast Brewing will be opening their doors earlier than most, at 11 a.m., and plan on dropping some of their beers to $4.

One establishment that will be holding a special event, along with drink specials, is Ebbets Field.

Missouri State’s Barstool Sports affiliate has partnered with Ebbets for a Super Bowl watch party. The watch party will include drink specials including “Chief’s bombs,” a special appetizer menu and several prize giveaways.

And if you’re a student on campus with limited or no transportation, there will be a Super Bowl watch party in the grand lounge of Blair-Shannon. The watch party will begin at 5 p.m. with the kickoff of the game at 5:30 p.m.

Ebbets, Boogie and Hold Fast will likely be filled with fans all day. Below is a list of other establishments open on Sunday. Note: Some of these places are bars, pubs and establishments that do not serve minors.
