Letter: Showing support for the Bears is easy
Issue date: 10/9/07 Section: Opinion

I attended the Missouri State football game Saturday against Illinois State and wanted to express my disappointment in the lack of student support. Where were the Greeks and other student organizations? It's pretty simple: Round up a few of your frat brothers or sorority sisters, go over to Bearfest village and eat free pizza, walk across the street to watch the game (for free), cheer on your classmates on the team and in the band (which was excellent), heckle the opponents, watch the Bears score 50-plus points and go home. Let's show the city, state and Gateway Conference that we're proud to be Bears!

You two are both morons. If you don't want to go, fine. People have commitments, yes. But there are more people that don't have any commitment, besides laying around all day, than those that have to work or go to a job. (Continued…)

I didn't say a word about commitments. I just said:
1. that football games are boring and a waste of my time.
2. that "school spirit" doesn't have to equal attendance to a certain sport's game. (Continued…)
