Third place to men's, women's swimming

Bronze was seen all around as the Missouri State men's and women's swimming and diving teams both finished in third place at the Arkansas-Little Rock Christmas Invitational in Little Rock, Ark. over the weekend.
The women finished behind first place Drury and second place Western Kentucky.
The men finished behind first place Missouri-Rolla while the Drury men took second.
For the Missouri State men's squad, Victor Serra claimed first place in the 200-butterfly. Eduardo Pajares claimed second in the 200-individual medley with a time of 1:53.56, and Ignacio Gayo finished third in the 100-free with a time of 45.92.
Teammates Nicolas Villa-rroel, Roko Simunic, Serra and Gayo took first place in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:32.55. Villarroel also claimed the third place finish in the 100-back with a time of 51.46.
The men also took fourth place in the 400-free relay with a time of 3:05.80.
Jordan Hawkins led the Missouri State women, earning fourth in the 100-back and seventh in the 100-free.
Indira Villarroel, Fran Moody, Chelsea Dirks-Ham and Matana Wellman competed in the 200-meter medley relay and earned fifth with a time of 1:52.73. Andi Rojas-Jimenz earned fourth in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:11.81.
Sixth place was claimed by sophomore Breanna Hollar in the 200-free with a time of 1:59.95.
Wellman finished right behind her in seventh with the same time. Hollar also claimed second in the 200-fly.
The Missouri State swimming and diving teams will be back in full swing when it goes to the Annual Delta State Invitational in Cleveland, Miss. Dec. 15 to Dec. 17 at 10 a.m.
