College of Business Administration accredited
Issue date: 1/22/08 Section: News
The College of Business Administration at Missouri State University received an affirmation of accreditation last week from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - International for its business administration and accounting programs.
A team of evaluators, comprised of business school deans and accounting educators from other universities, examined the business program's resources, learning goals and the interactions of faculty and students in the educational process.
The team determined that COBA's programs passed the expectations of the AACSB and granted the accreditation.
In December 2007, the AACSB had accredited over 500 institutions in business, of which only 168 had special accreditation for their accounting programs, according to their Web site, www.aacsb.edu/ accreditation/AccreditedMembers.asp.
