Armed Robbery

An armed robbery using a knife was reported in Bear Park South around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to an alert from Missouri State University, the weapon was a knife and there were two suspects. There are no injuries. The robbery happened on the fourth level of Bear Park South.

The owner of a vehicle parked in the garage interrupted the two suspects as they were breaking into his car. After he confronted them, the suspects threatened him with the knife. 

The man then fled the garage, and was briefly followed by the two suspects, before they continued south on Holland Avenue away from campus. 

According to the alert, suspect one is described as a white male in a black hoodie and blue jeans, about 6 feet tall, and average build.

Suspect two is described as a white male, also in a black hoodie and blue jeans, with an average build and red/brown facial hair.

The Springfield Police Department is currently investigating in the area.
