One year after opening The Monroe, Miller O'Reilly opened its latest apartment complex bordering Missouri State University Tuesday morning. Deep Elm, across the street from MSU at 701 E. Elm St., held a ribbon cutting and open house hosted by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Tuesday at 11 a.m. to officially open the doors to the complex. The apartment complex features one, two and four-bedroom apartments that come fully furnished. Rent varies between $350 and $750 per month, depending on the apartment style, and includes utilities, cable, internet and wi-fi access. Miller O'Reilly worked with Affiniti Management Services on the project and Jamie Sublette, a student assistant for Affiniti, answered questions about the apartment complex during the open house portion of the event. Sublette, a junior special education major at MSU, said residents would begin moving into their apartments at Deep Elm later on Tuesday. She said while Deep Elm is targeting students - especially international students - to sign leases, anyone can live at the apartment complex. As of Tuesday morning, 50 beds were still available at the complex, Sublette said.
