The Missouri State men's basketball team announced Tuesday night the signing of high school wing player Michael Simpson from Klein Collins High School, located just outside of Houston, Texas.

Simpson (6-foot-5, 190 pounds) averaged 15.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in his senior season.

MSU head coach Paul Lusk had high praises for Simpson in a press release sent out by MSU Athletics on Tuesday.

"We are very excited to have Michael join our program," Lusk said. "He is a long, athletic and skilled wing player who has a great stroke from the perimeter. He adds another skilled player to our recruiting class and gives us a versatile scoring threat."

In addition to his basketball accolades, Simpson is also an honors student with a 3.6 GPA.
